Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup

1 1/2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
2 cups water
1 small onion, chopped
1 28oz. ounce canned crushed tomatoes
1 16oz. package frozen mixed vegetables
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
10 cubes beef bouillon, crumbled
2 tsp. ground black pepper
1 Tbl. salt
1 Tbl. dried basil
1. Place beef in slow cooker. Pour in water. Sir in remaining ingredients and season with bouillon, salt, pepper, and basil. Cook on low for 8 hours.

*warm cornbread tastes great with this!
